To achieve these qualities, the Marine Confort sheets have been treated with geraniol, a monoterpenoid and an alcohol, which is extracted from most of the essential oils of roses and citronella. But not only does the IMO-SOLAS fire protection standard apply to sheet sets, but also to curtains, duvets, blankets and pillows. In the midst of so many textile elements, safety on board a ship must always have effective solutions to the risk of fire, for example in the components of the sailors’ or crew’s berths or in the passage itself.

In constant concern, IMO-SOLAS standards were designed to ensure that fires are quickly extinguished, with no adjacent material contributing to their spread. These materials usually include carpets and other coverings, but special attention must also be paid to bedding, mattresses and sheets.
