IMO certified sheets for boats

Boat bedding sets including sheets, pillowcases, top sheets, bottom sheets, blankets, bedspreads, duvets and even upholstered headboards for boats. All those textiles with IMO certificate “rudder seal” for use in maritime transport.

Textile contract security also extends to large ships, which is why fire-retardant sheet sets have been adapted to the highest demands of life at sea. Keep in mind that the vacation cruise ship industry has experienced significant growth in recent years and in many cases companies offer luxury and premium cruises to meet the expectations of their passengers.

But to maintain this level of satisfaction, the passenger must feel that the trip has always been an enriching experience, but if it is also done on board a cruise with high-quality services, the passenger will ask for more than an unforgettable experience.

For this reason, there are many companies that trust Royal Comfort to maintain a suitable equipment in the decoration of their cabins, but also to have rest equipment in accordance with the certifications required by SOLAS Safety of Life at Sea, IMO International Maritime Organization, MED Marine EquipmentDirective, and MCAMaritime and Coastguard Agency.

Among these rest equipment are the sets of Marine Comfort sheets, made up of a fitted sheet, a worktop and a pillowcase, which offer excellent comfort thanks to the new synthetic fiber compositions. Even upholstered headboards and towels are specially indicated for use on ships and boats of all kinds.

Our collection of fire-retardant bedding has obtained the highest classification (class A) of the UNE-EN 14533 and UNE-EN ISO 12952 standards, which establish a classification and test system against the fire behavior of these textile products allowing the Acceptance at the same time by Resolution IMO MSC.307 (88) Annex I Part 9.

The best thing about our line of boat bedding is that it presents the incorporation of the new sets of sheets in 100% fireproof cotton fibers. Inspired by the hotel sector, large cruise vacation boats could not be left out of the comfort, safety and innovation of the new range of Marine Confort bedding, created specifically with anti-mite and hypoallergenic quality for the maritime sector.

To achieve these qualities, the Marine Confort sheets have been treated with geraniol, a monoterpenoid and an alcohol, which is extracted from most of the essential oils of roses and citronella. It is also found in small quantities in geraniums, lemons and other essential oils, thus eliminating the production of bad odors and a feeling of freshness and softness.

But not only does the IMO-SOLAS fire protection standard apply to sheet sets, but also to curtains, duvets, blankets and pillows. In the midst of so many textile elements, safety on board a ship must always have effective solutions to the risk of fire, for example in the components of the sailors’ or crew’s berths or in the passage itself.

In constant concern, IMO-SOLAS standards were designed to ensure that fires are quickly extinguished, with no adjacent material contributing to their spread. These materials usually include carpets and other coverings, but special attention must also be paid to bedding, mattresses and sheets.

In a second order, the regulations themselves dictate the way in which any fire must be detected, for this reason it is necessary to have the necessary detection equipment to stop them quickly and thirdly, that any fire is contained and extinguished.
